Tropical Ale Vinaigrette

Tropical Ale Vinaigrette

Homemade vinaigrettes for salads are not uncommon in my house. Often I will mix a vinegar with an oil, some herbs and spice and throw it on the salad of the day and it always tastes exceptional! When my friend gave me a six pack of Dead Frog’s Tropic Vice, Tropical Fruit Ale, I decided to try it in a vinaigrette; a tropical ale vinaigrette!

I will have them as an appetizer, snack or as a meal; so it was only natural that I needed to try and make them myself! …

Cinco de Mayo, Mexico!

Cinco de Mayo, Mexico!

Hi! And Happy Cinco de Mayo, Mexico! Are you having tacos and margarita’s today?  What is Cinco de Mayo? Cinco de Mayo is May 5th every year and is observed to commemorate the Mexican’s army’s unlikely victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. (Thanks Wikipedia!)   What’s the best thing about Mexico in my opinion? I’ve never been to Mexico before, so this opinion is based on what I have had as a Canadian eating Mexican in Canada;…

Citrus Salad

Citrus Salad

Today is the first day of spring and what better way to kick it off than with a citrus salad! Where I live, it has felt like spring for a few weeks now, so I have been getting excited lately.  I don’t have a favourite season. I actually look forward to each new season about a month before it starts. For me, every season has something to count on. Near the end of autumn, I am looking forward to snow and…
