Smoked Rye Porter Barbecue Sauce
Using a local Smoked Rye Porter in a Barbecue Sauce added a hit of extra zing to your grilled meat!

olive oil

white onion
diced

garlic

smoked paprika

smoked rye porter

cup
brown sugar

tomato paste

soy sauce

cider vinegar

Worcestershire sauce

smoked sea salt

Heat olive oil in a sauce pan over medium heat. Add in onion and garlic and cook until starting soften, but not brown, about 15 minutes, while stirring occasionally.

Add in smoked paprika and give it a stir and let cook about a minute.

Add remaining ingredients and stir to mix well. Cook over low-to-medium heat, while stirring occasionally, until sauce starts to thicken, about 20-30 minutes.

Serve with grilled chicken, beef or pork, with a side of your favourite locally craft brew!
