In a large resealable plastic bag or plastic container, combine the avocado oil, sugar, honey, paprika, salt, and pepper flakes. Add the chicken and mix until chicken is well coated. Pour beer into bag or container. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours.
Prep the grill rack by spraying with cooking spray. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (350° to 400°).
Remove chicken from bag and discard marinade. Grill on prepped grill, covered, turning occasionally, until cooked thoroughly (juices run clear) about 30 minutes.
