Easy Apple Pumpkin Beer Bread


  • 1-1/2 cups grated apples
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, plus 2 Tbsp to toss apples in
  • 2 tsp cinnamon, divided
  • 2-1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 7 oz pumpkin ale
  • 1/4 cup olive oil


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.

  2. Peel and grate apples, measuring out 1-1/2 cups and toss with 2 Tbsp brown sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Set aside.

    Beat the eggs, add in the brown sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon and whisk to combine well. Add in the pumpkin ale and whisk again. Set aside.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt. Add the egg/beer mixture and mix to combine. Add in the olive oil and mix agian until smooth.

    Fold in the apples. Transfer to the lined loaf pan.

  4. Bake for 55-60 minutes. Let cool for 5-10 minutes. Remove it from the pan onto a cooling rack and let it cool down before slicing. Enjoy with a glass of your favourite local brew!
